Cantilever Toolbox
The Kobalt Zerust 18-in Lockable Tool Box is a one-of-a-kind design, built to last. A configurable top compartment pivots on a four-bar linkage, giving access to the bottom compartment. The top compartment features a clear lid that keeps dividers, small containers, and all of the contents in place. With cam-over latches secured, rotating the large carry handle upright locks it all in place so there's no accidental spills.
Beginning with a design sketch provided from the client, we provided the industrial design refinement and implementation of mechanical design and intent for prototyping and production model creation.
Mechanical Engineering
Our designers worked on accomplishing the mechanical and aesthetic vision of the cantilever box through detailed part development and CAD modeling. All parts were modeled for manufacturing to ensure capturing the full design intent of the client.
